Leaders
If you’re interested in making an impact on the next generation by showing you care about them—their hopes, fears and dreams—then MOR is the place for you! Our leaders use their God-given abilities to develop relationships with the students as they serve in several different areas. Here are some ways you can jump in, get involved and see students’ lives changed forever!
Wednesday Nights
MOR Wednesday Nights—our weekly youth services—are designed to attract a wide range of students and expose them to God’s love. You can serve by greeting students, checking them in, talking to new students at the visitors’ table, serving them food at the food table or praying with them as a member of the altar ministry team or salvation prayer team. Most of all, wherever you serve, we want you to take every opportunity to connect with students in an authentic way!
Emerge
Emerge is our discipleship program—a series of classes we offer before Wednesday night services to students who want to go deeper in their faith. We offer two classes each quarter as well as a new believers’ class each month. Different class topics include foundations of the faith, purity, evangelism and freedom ministry. You can get involved by being an assistant teacher; or you have the option to simply attend the classes. Join us if you want to train the next generation to nurture and strengthen their walk with God!
MOR Groups
We recognize that Wednesday Nights are a great first step, but ultimately they aren’t enough to put students in a strong, spiritually healthy community. That’s why MOR Groups exist—to offer students a life-giving connection to their peers. You can participate by leading or co-leading a group, hosting a group at your home or simply attending a group. Groups are usually guided by a book or a discipleship course to keep what we teach consistent. New groups are added as needed to fit the interests and desires of students and leaders. Help us build a strong spiritual community among the students by getting involved with MOR Groups!
MOR Spring Break Ministry Trip
Our Spring Break Ministry Trips allow students to use their free time to reach out and help those who are less fortunate, both here and abroad. If you want to see students learn what it means to love and care for “the least of these,” pray about joining us on a ministry trip as a team leader!
MOR Summer Ministry Trip
For students who want to help the poor and broken across our nation, we provide a Summer Ministry Trip—a domestic opportunity to serve a community in need. If you’re unable to come, you can still help the students by preparing them for the trip and by praying for the students while they’re away.
MOR Life Weekend
Students need a chance to escape the cycle of ordinary life. MOR Life Weekend is a dedicated time of devotions and honest discussion to encourage spiritual growth. You can help them take the next step in their relationship with God by leading or co-leading a group or by providing the host home. Join us as we take students and make disciples.
MOR Summer Internship Program
Each summer, we accept 30 students for our Summer Internship Program where they serve, study, pray and participate in evangelism and outreach three days a week for eight weeks. This program is one of our most valuable discipleship tools for our spiritually mature students. If you want to work with the spiritual leaders of the next generation, you can teach the interns, help out at the Gateway offices or pray for the students and leaders involved.
