After Camp....Now What?
Have you ever wondered why it is that we come home from camp on this incredible spiritual high only to find ourselves back to "normal" two or three weeks later, struggling with the same old sins and lacking passion? Every year I see this cycle, and every year I see 5-10 students who continue to be passionate well beyond the three weeks curse! There is a reason for this. At camp, every day you spend massive amounts of time with God, people of God, worship, and a team of people who desire for you to advance in your walk. The result of that saturation of God time is a new fresh focus on the things that really matter. when most people return home, they return to a lifestyle that has very little intimate time with God.
this is a new week!
So last week MOR was canceled and it rained and EVERYTHING happened but this week is a new week and we need to remind our kids to come and bring there friends! Kenyon Coleman is going to be speaking this week and it is going to be amazing. remember to stay connected to your teammates from camp and the kids you have invested time in! Lets be there on time this week (if you don't have any other obligations) and call me if you are late :) Remember to encourage our interns this week when you see them this Wednesday. The area you are stationed is YOUR MINISTRY AREA! Take pride and ownership in it. We will have the date for our first MOR WAR soon and i will get that to you as soon as we have it set.
About the indoor rain...
Hey guys, first off thank you so much to all of you that helped last night! We were able to save all the bookstore and many many other things because of how you worked and stepped up. All of you are so amazing! Second, the building is going to be open for our family fun night at NRH as planned due to teams coming in and working literally around the clock. It will still be open this weekend as well. Next week we will inform you of how we are going to have to work around some issues but i really don't think it will be anything... Things are going to be worked on for the next few weeks but i know that we will be able to deal with it amazingly! You guys are fabulous and i can't wait to see you guys next Wednesday!-Rachel Turner
